A site-visit checklist for plotted layouts

A site visit is the most expensive hour in plot sales: your time, the buyer's travel, and often a whole family's Sunday. A little preparation makes that hour count.

The day before

  • Send the layout link, so the family can look at plots together before they leave home.
  • Ask which two or three plots they like, and put them on hold for the visit.
  • Share the Google Maps location of the site so nobody gets lost.

At the site

  • Open the map on your phone and stand on the plot they chose; show the road width and the facing on the spot.
  • Walk the nearest amenity: the garden, the civic site, the main road.
  • Have the price, payment plan and any extra charges ready in writing.

After the visit

  • Log the visit on the lead with the plots they saw and what they said.
  • Set a follow-up date before you leave the site, not after.
  • If they are not ready, release the hold so the plot goes back on sale.

None of this is complicated. The difference is doing it every time, for every buyer.
