How plot area is measured
Plot area is the land inside the plot's boundaries, measured flat. For a rectangular plot it is length multiplied by breadth: a plot 30 ft wide and 40 ft deep is 30 × 40 = 1,200 sq ft, which is about 111.5 sq m or 133.3 sq yards. Irregular plots are measured by splitting them into rectangles and triangles, which is how surveyors and layout drawings work out each plot's area.

One guntha is 1,089 square feet, which is 121 square yards or one-fortieth of an acre.
How many square feet are in a gaj or square yard?
One square yard, often called a gaj, is 9 square feet.
How many guntha make one acre?
Forty guntha make one acre.
How many cents are in an acre?
One hundred cents make one acre, so one cent is 435.6 square feet.
How do I calculate the area of my plot?
